Hi, welcome to Reflections Counselling Practice. Lovely to have you here.
I’m guessing that you have found yourself here because you are experiencing some difficulties that you would like support with. Firstly, I would like to praise you for taking the first step in seeking help, it can take a lot of courage. Please take your time and have a look around my website to see if I resonate with you.
Please note, that due to COVID 19, I am currently only offering online and telephone counselling. I am assessing if working face to face, within a school, is appropriate and safe on a case by case basis.
My name is Michelle Bloor and I run Reflections Counselling Practice in Congleton, Cheshire.
I am a fully qualified counsellor, with over 4,000 hours counselling experience working with adults, young people and children. I offer one to one sessions, in person and online, as well as offering workshops for various presenting issues.

Michelle is a very caring, genuine and empathic person. I felt understood and like I could talk to her without feeling judged.
ABOUT ME
I qualified as a Person Centred Counsellor in 2014. For the past 6 years, I have been working for a mental health charity, as a school counsellor, in both primary and secondary schools, supporting students with a wide range of presenting issues.
I started Reflections Counselling Practice back in 2016 and have been working with adults, young people and children in my private practice, as well as being privately commissioned by schools.
HOW I WORK
I am a person centred counsellor, meaning that I am non-directive in my approach. I don’t offer advice or solutions to your problems as I fully believe that you hold all the answers you need inside you. Please feel free to watch the video below for more information about how I work.
WHY COUNSELLING?
Sometimes, life experiences get overwhelming and talking to friends and family just isn’t enough. As much as they mean well, people who are emotionally attached may try to move you out of how you feel, in an attempt to rescue you.
In the moment, this may offer some relief, however it doesn’t get to the core or root of what’s going on for you.
Counselling is different because you get to talk to someone who doesn’t have an agenda for you. They are able to provide an accepting, understanding and non judgemental environment, where you can feel safe to explore your feelings, without the concern of how it may impact on the other person.

Amongst other things, counselling can help you to;
- Relieve stress and anxiety
- Develop healthy coping skills and strategies
- Resolve trauma
- Improve relationships, with self and others
- Deepen self awareness and understanding
- Regain emotional balance
- Establish and set healthy boundaries
- Improve confidence and self esteem
- Cultivate self worth
